This is a new feature I’m starting so we can learn how families are using bikes in their daily lives. Do you want to be featured one Friday? Fill out this form and I’ll get back to you.
Today’s family is the Mayers from Dubois, WY. You can find Amelia (the Mom) blogging at www.talesofamountainmama.com

Where is your favorite place to ride?
To the town park, along the river, over the bridge and back home (with stops to play, get the mail and visit the library too!)
Tell us about your favorite memory riding as a family.
I can’t limit it to just one memory. I LOVE that we live in a town small enough to bike nearly every where. We honestly seldom use our cars (especially in the summer.) Our Chariot is our best friend for getting our kids around too (though it is certainly getting heavier as the kids do!) Our favorite thing to do is for me to bike to town with our two boys in the afternoon and meet Daddy after work before all biking home as a family (and Daddy gets to haul that Chariot!)
Tell us a tip for getting the family out on bikes.
Don’t make it a big deal. Look at is as something “common” instead of a work out. Make it fun, normal and part of your every day routine! It will shock you how it will become that way! And don’t forget your helmets!
Also, balance bikes for young kids are AWESOME. They help kids feel like they are part of the biking as young as 2 years old!
Tell us about your bikes.
