2025 in 30 seconds. Our tires covered a lot of gro 2025 in 30 seconds. Our tires covered a lot of ground! Some of this was planned and some was spontaneous when our Bend house flooded in April and forced us into the RV for the entire summer. Kind of exhausted watching this but wouldn’t have it any other way. We have one life to live so planning to do more of what makes us happy in 2026-bikes and travel. What’s your favorite trail of 2025? We need ideas for 2026. 1. Best Remote: Captain Kangaroo in Castlegar, BC 2. Best Shuttle: Alpine Trail in Oakridge, Oregon 3. Best Dirt: Tumeke in Rotarua, New Zealand 4. Best Trail to Splurge on: Heli to Wakamarina, New Zealand 5. Best Tech: Te Ara Koa/ Butters in Nelson, NZ 6. Best Bucket list Trail: In n Out Burger, Squamish, BC 7. Best Trail with a Group: Top of the World, Whistler 8. Best Full Pull: Post Canyon Trails from Dirt Surfer to Mitchell Ridge 9. Best Feature: Tunnel Trail in Derby, Tasmania 10. Best Local Trail: Tiddlywinks in Bend, Oregon. We’ve had a lot of fun on it this year! 11. Best Jump Trail: A-Line and Crank it Up always win but Tyenna in Maydena, Tasmania was a big hit.

Blue Derby is the heart of Tasmanian Mountain Biki Blue Derby is the heart of Tasmanian Mountain Biking. The town of Derby is literally built around the trails. We were only there for 5 days so we’re not experts but here’s what stood out: 1. The main trails are called Black Stump. Book a shuttle for the day or by the ride with @updownaroundmtb 2. Bonus: Book a Big Papa Buggy to the top. This gives you access to the famous black trails built for the EWS like Trouty. 3. Book a shuttle (see a theme) to ride the Blue Tier trails, lunch at the pub, then Atlas trail to town. This is a must do. 4. Go to the Floating Sauna for an iconic Tasmania experience. Look for the elusive Platypus on the walk there as you cross the bridge. 5. Eat pizza at @thehubderby So delicious and they also have the best local ice cream. 6. If you need to rent bikes, there are plenty around but book early. @evolutionbiking was good to us and knows how to switch and bleed brakes like a pro (you’ll need your brakes swapped when renting bikes down under). 7. Take the Tunnel trail at least once. The trails are excellent here but it’s also about the experiences. And riding through a dark tunnel that lights up as you go is pretty cool. Hope this helps you plan your trip. Tasmania mountain biking has been unreal. We booke Tasmania mountain biking has been unreal. We booked a shuttle from @gravityislemtb in the town of St. Helens to ride the Bay of Fires trail. You start in sub alpine Blue Tier (and it snowed up there the night before!) and end at the beach. We opted to rent ebikes as part of the trail is more geared towards XC riding. The trail was a blast and the landscape even better. Our shuttle driver was great and met us several times to check in, give us lunch and let us change clothes in the van. If you’re in Tassie definitely put the Bay of Fires trail on your list.
